I personally think this is (will be) the most important / indispensible app for the iPhone!
new version is here: http://iBackup.up.to ---> page Load Error :)
I try new version and the backup is save in my mac ok!!
My setup: Macmini, Intel Core Duo 1.66 GHz, OSX 10.5.2 iPhone 4GB, 1.1.4, 04.04.05_G
If I need restore, I only need open the program, sync with iphone, and push restore and everything returns to iphone?
App seems to stall when searching for Terminal.app. Nothing seems to happen for about the last 10 Minutes or so. Restarting iBackup gaves the same issue
Still not working...
I'm getting mixed results under 2 different IP's.
Under one, I think, it almost worked... terminal opened, asked for a password and...
...empty zip file
Under other IP, nothing... empty zip file. :-(
I really hope this gets fixed somehow.
please try again. Site is up and running and should be available....
iBackup has to search for Terminal.app as it might be in a non-standard path (as on my MAC for example), but as long as it's *somewhere* in /Applications it should find it. On my system it also searches for at least 2 minutes.. but 10 seems a little bit too much.
Can you tell me where (which path) your "Terminal.app" is located?
Thanks for the feedback,
I open the ibackup, and automatically open terminal, Idonīt do anything special
And the backup works great!
what do you mean with "two different IPs"? Your iPhone should only have one IP (at a time) :-)
iBackup does only check whether there's a network connection to the given IP... so if this is NOT your iPhone it's clear that everything else will just result in empty folders.
Maybe I'll put in another automated check to make sure I'm talking to an iPhone :-)
Can you check please?! The correct IP is in your iPhone "Settings" / "WIFI" and then hit the right blue arrow of your Wifi network.
Hope we will finally get you to backup :-)
thanks for the good reply.
Yes, if you have to restore or your installation get's messed up, just perform a "Restore" in iBackup and you're all set.
I'll add another option soon, to "update" newer firmware versions, so that iBackup will restore all your data and 3rd party apps, but won't overwrite the newer Apple programs that came with the new firmware.
