I love the command line and I hate applications I do not know what they are doing. So I am collecting every commandline, path and file association I can find while surfing the blogs, the filesystem or the plists. :hack:
so my iphone is my lovely little unix box
Man I used Bosstool and it had the spinning circle for a minute then stopped and the available space changed from 87mb to 89mb but it still says that my applications havent been moved and now my calculator and cydia are missing! what the hell, they mustve got moved but no symlink was made...I just tried what stonefred said but it didnt change anything....HELP :(
EDIT: I have a /Applications, and a Private/Var/Applications/Applications and a Private/Var/Mobile/Applications....
What the hell is going on?! Hey Stonefred can you help me with that???
Install bsdsub and do
ls -la
Then you will see acl rights and symlinks
Can u please explain to me why it is that after i inserted the commands u provided my phone keeps on restarting the welcome to the new screen thing??? u totally messed up my iphone dude!
How am I supposed to enter theese commands? one by one, or all at once??? (I mean the rows)
So, is this working or not?
This is working for 1.1.4, all commands are case sensitive. You have to type the commands one after one and not disconnect or leave shell until finished. It is important that the symlink to the applications folder from the system to the media partition is working or you phone is lost and you have to start with restoring with iTunes. The permissions need to be kept, ziphoned iPhones have to be fixed. HTH
do not use bosstool and those shellcommands together, do only move your applications and fonts once...
I think bosstool is using different paths, I am NOT using ziphone or bosstool...
