Nightmare with ibrickr...
Hi everyone, while I try to setup ibrickr to jailbreak my iphone it says this:
Looks like you need to download the iPhone firmware. Fire up iTunes with your iPhone plugged in, and hit the Restore button. Once the download starts, unplug your iPhone. When the download finishes, click away the error message in iTunes, and close iTunes. Plug your iPhone back in, and click Check again.
My iphone has the 1.0.2 firmware.
I downloaded that firmware and I followed the instuctions, also when I try to restore the Iphone it just unpacks the software :S
and it doesnt download it. Maybe I have to delete it but where and how?.
Can someone help me?.
Thanx in advance.

You need to copy the iPhone firmware files to the english path equivalent,
"C:\Document and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Software Updates"
USERNAME = your username on your windows machine.

open ibrickr. open itunes and connect iphone. select restore in itunes. u will see that it will begin to download firmware 1.02 and then you can disconnect your iphone. once it completes it should extract and then give error that it can't find the iphone. Now you plug it in (i phone) and click free my iphone on ibrickr. and in a few minutes it should jailbreak it!
let me know if it works!
