You can ssh to the phone and issue a reboot from there...

It would be nice if a reboot could be issued from iPhone interface, but in order for an app to issue the command it would have to install the reboot command on the phone (part of BSD subsystem I assume) and then issue the command when the app is ran or within the app. Doesn't sound too complicated.

I think you can issue "cmd reboot" to reboot a iPhone in recovery mode, but i don't know how to return from recovery mode to normal mode using iphuc.

Do you have mobile term or term-vt100 installed? If so, enter reboot in it.

whoever wrote WinStaller knows how to reboot the phone?
I'm looking for an answer as well..
Also i want to automate the process of DFU mode, restore 1.0.2 ipsw, jailbreak, activate, downgrade baseband, reboot, and run anysim app.
Atleast 50% of this i want to automate.

simple create a file containing commnads
enterrecovery
call it boot1
create another file boot2 with commands below
setenv auto-boot true
saveenv
reboot
now write a script with the commands
iphoneinterface < boot1
iphoneinterface < boot2
you need to have iphoneinterface and iTunesMobileDevice.dll in same directory..
BTW, i have automated 99% of the unlocking process using tools like
winstaller, pacay, iphoneinterface and my little c# program

Just install Terminal program and type 'reboot'......

If you followed the steps exactly, it should have worked.. I have been able to boot using this atleast a few dozen times. But i have written a simple windows script that you can download from here.
www.ewebcomputing.com/iphone/boot.zip
Extract and just run the boot.cmd it should reboot your iphone.
