If it's a name, header contains 4 more bytes, that containe upper/lowercase bitmask for the name. 1 in this bitmask means uppercase letter, and 0 means lowercase letter. Eg. for word 'iPhone' the mask is 00 00 00 02, for the 'DNA': 00 00 00 07
    Hi all!

It seems as if the word type is some kind of flags. I've seen these values:

    col - 12 34 56 78
    ----------------------
    11 - 00 01 00 01
    02 - 00 00 00 10 - normal
    03 - 00 00 00 11 - name, contains uppercase
    22 - 01 00 00 10
    0a - 00 00 10 10
    1a - 00 01 10 10
    0e - 00 00 11 10
    1e - 00 01 11 10

It seems as col 7 is a flag that controls if a suggestion should appear or not. My guess is that the other flags controls how and when suggestions appear.

    Do you have more info?

I've successfully created a one-letter dat-file. It wasn't very hard.. But it doesn't work. I've tried it in 1.1.1, 1.1.2 and 1.1.3. I've even tried replacing the US-one-letter file with my one-letter dat-file. But it still wont work... I always get the US-suggestions (even though I delete the file).

How can I make it work?

Has anyone succeeded in creating (or find out anyting else about) the new keyboard dictionarys in the new 1.2 firmware format.'

My first observation was that one-letter and two-letter words as been integrated into the main dictionary.

If you want - I could post the files.

This questions is especially for M4v3R. Maby you've come up with another php-script?

My language is still not available in the upcoming firmware.

PHP strlen() function doesn't handle unicode properly - it will count every utf8 character twice. Hence the error. See http://pl2.php.net/strlen, in comments there is a function that does it properly.
Have you come up with a solution for the new dictionary format? Or do you have any information about the new format?
