I updated my friend's iphone today to 2.0. Not knowing that he didn't sync his phone since MARCH!!! So he lost all photos in the camera roll after march.

I think when you pawned the phone, you choose restore and I heard the when you do 2.0 update it zero out all your data. But since the restore is pretty quick. I don't think it zero out all the data? So maybe there's a chance to retrieve the lost photos? Is there a why to retrieve deleted files? Please help. What software or tools do I need to try to undelete photos in camera roll?

I'm sorry, but if you haven't synced before going to 2.0, you gonna have to say bye bye to your Data.

I guess you can (technically).. IF you have not over-written that part of the disk. You could try mounting the iPhone on Windows as a Network drive and using an app like RecoverMyFiles to scan for deleted files.. If not all, you will be able to get some of the data back..... I have done it for a friend and it works...
