Default [iTunes] Can i safely connect my unlocked phone ?

I recently unlocked my iPhone with iLiberty+ and my friend told me not to ever connect it to iTunes because it will "brick" the iPhone! Is this true? I thought if you tried updating the iPhone it would brick, but not just connecting it to iTunes. I need to get my music on my iPhone somehow!

    Thanks

    Your friend is half right.

You can connect it to iTunes, but cancel any Firmware Update message you'll get and everything will be fine.

So a pop-up will appear saying: "Do you want to update your iPhone's firmware?" or something along the lines of that, and all I have to do is say no. Right? Than I can use iTunes normally? If I say yes it will brick instantly or what?

    Thanks for your help!

No, if you say "yes" it will start to download the latest Firmware Version and when finished will install it.

You can't brick your phone by updating with iTunes.

Even you make a mistake and update, you'll still be able to unlock it again (iPlus or iLiberty+)
