Using the iPhone i got my first meeting with iTunes. I added all my music and then synced. But since i only want my music on one place i deleted it from the computer. So now iTunes was angry and i couldn't make playlists or anything since the music wasn't on my computer anymore. So now i didn't like iTunes like many others.

But with this 7.6 update there is something called "manually manage music and movies" and in some other thread someone implied that this means that now it is possible to only have the music on the iPhone and you dont need it on the computer also. Just like i want it. But i still cant make playlists or anything since iTunes cant find the music on the computer.

What does "manually manage music and movies" actually do? And can it help me to only have all music on the phone and still make playlists and add/remove things?

Instead of automatically syncing your whole library onto the iphone, you just drag what you want copied onto it. Like how you're probably used to doing with your ipod.

But i still need all the music on the computer also? I cant delete it when i have dragged it to the phone?
