Once I patched the 4 .plist files, replaced the .pem files with the ones included in the YouTube file package, and rebooted, YouTube worked over EDGE and WiFi (I'm on T-Mobile).
HOWEVER, iPhone no longer USB connects to the computer. I mean no iTunes, no iPHuc, no iNdependence, no iASign. Nothing. Everything command-line based returns a bus error.
I thankfully backed up the original .plist and .pem files before I patched them. I replaced the .pem files first, and rebooted. Still won't connect to iTunes.
Replaced the .plist files with the originals, and rebooted. iPhone now connects via USB to iTunes and everything else again.
I went through this process twice to make sure I got it right, and it was identical.
You are warned, until someone figures out a new patch for YouTube, all non-AT&T activated iPhones can either sync with iTunes or have YouTube...NOT both.
Didi you get it working? let me know, I can help.

If you use iNdependence 1.2.1 it will unlock YouTube for you (if you're on a Mac) just use it to deactivate then reactivate the iPhone.

I had the same problem and I was really pissed off. But I fixed it ;-))
If you edit the plist-files in the lockdown-folder and the pair-rerords-folder, itunes won´t sync anymore. Just undo the changes you made in these files and reboot the iphone, now your iphone should sync.
Enjoy your iPhone!!!!
