[iPhysics] Level Editor for Windows
Hi Everybody,
First of all I'd like to thank everyone who have made the iPhone what it is now. I'd like to thank the people who spend most of their time hacking the iPhone and allowing third-party applications. And I'd like to thank R4m0n for making iPhysics possible. More on iPhysics in the iPhysics thread at http://www.hackint0sh.org/forum/showthread.php?t=16899
iPhysics is a work-in-progress on porting the Windows game Crayon Physics to the iPhone. R4m0n has worked so hard on iPhysics that it is now a fully working game completely expandable with user-made levels.
These levels are something I'd like to talk about. To create a level, users need to understand XML/Plist files and be creative and do a little trial and error getting the values right. This is where I come in. I've created a Windows app called iPhysics Level Editor and it allows anyone to create levels and level packs for iPhysics quickly.
Visit the iPhysics LE wiki at http://iphysics.r4m0n.net/index.php?...s_Level_Editor
It does not come with instructions but you should be able to use it.
This is a work in progress, so I am open to any suggestions and criticisms. This program is not bug free so I recommend making backup copies of your files. It might not be able to read all existing level files out there, as some people have used a slightly different format and order. Preferably use iPhysics LE to create new level packs and levels and use iPhysics LE to edit those - that should work 100%.
iPhysics LE creates the level packs in the "Level Packs" folder, and all the individual levels are stored in their own folder in the "Level Packs" folder. Just take a look and experiment and you should be fine.
This new version no longer requires any manual editing of plist or .levelpack files! Everything is done by the program.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Let's keep this thread for iPhysics LE related questions. Enjoy!

I have just finished creating a video tutorial for iPhysics LE 0.2, it's on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8IaJXzZL158
It shows how to create a simple level from scratch and add a joint, a static and several dynamics.
