Installer.app v3.1 install via AppTapp?
Hi all,
I understand that when you install Installer.app via AppTapp on OS X you do not need to jail break first as AppTapp does this for you. However does AppTapp put the phone back into kjail once installation is complete?
Also do I need to be in a jail break state to install apps via installer.app? If so is it ok to leave the iPhone in jail break state all the time?
Finally if you perform a restore while in the jail break state will it return the phone to jail afterwards?
Hope some people can help me.
Cheers.

My process of activate/jailbreak the iphone allways is the same...
1. Using iNdependence 1.2.1: jailbreak it
2. Using iNdepencende 1.2.1: activate it (now activates youtube also)
3. Use AppTap to install Installer.app
4. Install "Community Sources" > "BSD Subsystem" > "OpenSSH"
The best you can do is allways have your iPhone in that state, jailbreaked and activated, you don't need to touch it again until you restore the firm of it because it would be with default settings and you will have to repeat again all the process.

Cheers for the quick response. I have an issue though. I had to restore my Iphone a few days ago and now cant get AppTapp to install.
I activated and then jailbreak using iNdependence 1.2.1 which went fine and then all ran AppTapp, correct? It all looks good and it comes up with the dialog "This may take 2-3mins" and then after 5-10 still hasent moved.
There is no further information given so I have no clue what is going on.
Should I have not jailbreak first as after futher reading it seems that AppTapp does that for you. Also has anyone know the install to take a long time?

I restored my iphone yesterday and used that process and everything went fine.
I don't have a clue for your problem, make sure you select the correct firm when you use AppTap, don't know what more could be
