They both do the same job but with INdependence you need to uninstall through the INdependence application. OpenSSH can be uninstalled from the installer, which come in handy if you want to uninstall it and are not tethered to you computer.

Note: You should always uninstall it when finished SSHing. If not, your phone is open to access by others.

According to the author of iNdependence, the SSH should be now (since version 1.4beta4) synchronized with the Installer, i.e. it should be identical. So you can use tools like BossPrefs or Services (both available through Installer) to turn SSH on/off as needed. That way your iPhone is not open to others, but you can start SSH as needed.
If this helps, use the "thumbs up" on the left.

Why? What are the symptoms of "not working"? BTW, did you install the BSD subsystem?

    Okay this is what happens:

I reinstalled the bsd subsystem and the ssh from independence

    then the ssh is active.
When i disable the ssh through bossprefs a get a ssh connection refushed = normal :p

When i then reenable the ssh through bossprefs i still get a connection refushed

this morning (here it is) i restarted my iPhone and found ssh worked

so i have to restart to be able to restart the ssh

    kind regards
