Default ibrick jailbreak problem-can't get restore screen

hey, so im trying to jailbreak using ibrick.

    ibrick is saying,
    1.shut off ipod.
    2.turn on ipod
3.as soon as apple logo shows up, hold power+home button at same time until the restore screen comes up.

But everytime i try that last step, my iphone just shuts off.
    Any help guys?

3.as soon as apple logo shows up, hold power+home button at same time until the restore screen comes up.

So keep holding... even if it shuts off

The last one doesn't work for me either

    Try another way:

    1. Turn OFF (Soft)
    2. Unplug
    3. Press and hold Home button
    4. While holding Home, plug iPhone

    Welcome to recovery.

    Turn ON your iPhone
    Plug it to USB
    Press Home and Sleep buttons.
    It will restart, HOLD THERE.
    You will enter recovery.
You can leave the buttons now.
