[iBooter] How TO! any guide how to make it work
Hello,
I am trying to run ibooter in windows (ibooterwin) but everytime i run the command in a DOS windows i get Not iphone in recovery mode.
I already install the libusb-win32-filter-bin-0.1.12.1.exe library.
Anyone who has succefully worked with iBooter could please help with a step by step guide !! please !!

dude, you need to press and hold both the home button and the power button on your iphone until it switches off, keep holding it for another 10 secs until you see a "connect to itunes" image are shown. Now you are in recovery mode and you are ready to run ibooter.exe

also, depending on the age of the iphone, you may have to make a change to libibooter.h. i had to change "USB_PRODUCT_ID = 0x1280" to 0x1281 and recompile it for it to work with my iphone.

I'm having the same trouble running iBooter on WinXP. My phone (2G) is in recovery mode and recognized by the computer but not by iBooter.
Where do you find that file to edit it?

how can i edit that!! I´ve been almost 6 months without my iphone and i finded this tool but it doesn t recognises it!!please!!how can you edit it!

iBooter will no longer work, it was for the old protocol. Check out iRecovery.

Compile it with gcc (Mac / Linux) or if you are on windows there is even a Microsoft Visual Studio C project there you can open in it.

oh ok i managed to compile it on ubuntu on one laptop (then it crashed lol)
but i got it up on another laptop so it works now
