Default how i got it installed

just a quick note about MNPlight - I had problems with installing the package as the URL is not recognized by Installer app.
    So what I did...

    1. I downloaded two files
    http://iphone.lefessant.net/iphone/M...ght-2.28.1.pxl
    http://iphone.lefessant.net/iphone/repository.plist
    onto my local drive.

1a. Renamed "repository.list" into "repo.list" (not necessary obviously, don't know why I did that... )

    2. Inside repo.list there are 3 links pointing to source files at http://iphone.lefessant.net/..... I changed the links into http://127.0.0.1/repo/.... so that MNPLight one looks like
    <string>http://127.0.0.1/repo/MNPlight-2.28.1.pxl</string>

2a. Copied both files into //var/root/Sites/repo/ on my iPhone (I created "repo" manually)

    3. Added a source in Installer http://127.0.0.1/repo/repo.plist and got two new categories MNPLight and MNPgoodies.

    4. The installation of MNPLight was completed successfully after a couple of tries (I cleaned the installing queue as well) and I got Safari running with 127.0.0.1:2007/ opened.

I don't have time to check if it's actually WORKING but prolly this will help installing it.

    Cheers,

I'm currently using MNPlight primarily to stream radio stations (di.fm, specifically). Before I was using a version of Orb, but it keeps stopping after the song changes, so it was getting annoying. MNPlight seems to be working fine, though! I was wondering if you plan to implement some sort of metadata update, like being able to display the song in the Quicktime display as the song changes?

    Thanks,
    - Eli

Does anyone know if this app is being worked on for firmware 2.x.x ?
I have a 2G on 2.0.1 and would like to do something like this, (really only interested in the iPod Database part).

I want to setup a process that can wifi rsync a mp3 directory between the device and PC every night, and then have the iPhone do its 'magic' to get those files into the iTunes_Control databases.

    Any ideas?

    Default installation does not work

    Hi,

i tried to install 2.28 with the installation procedure on the "official" website and got the message "unable to decode package more info at http:iphne.lefessant.net/#news", but there are no informations helping about this problem.

Safari does not recognize the link "http://iphone.lefessant.net/iphone" for the alternative installation.

The solution of Alikim does not work either.
Does anybody have a hint for me?
    I'm using 2.2 on iphone 3g.
    Please help!

    Thanks in advance.

I use CopyTrans Manager, its a part of the CopyTrans Suite, but this part is free. All the other parts are demos or pay apps. It works fine for music and video(not just music videos, but moveis and TV shows too if you want).
