Great work man, I must say. Cool application. Will get it tonight.
Just make the page a little skinned sort of, like a baground image (on localhost page), would look better.

MNPLight on 1.1.2
Hi,
I'm running an iPhone 1.1.2 unlocked with iSim. For various reasons I'm not keen to upgrade it to 1.1.3
I have installed MNPLight 2.26 using the repository and 2.25v7using your PXL but seem to have problems with the /var/root/ instead of /var/mobile/ issues, of which I read in this forum.
The problem I seem to have is that when I import an .ics file it makes a new calendar in /var/mobile/ but when I open my Iphone calendar using the normal Calendar application it opens the calendar in /var/root/, which will not have the changes.
Am I overlooking something here? Do I need an earlier version of MNPLight or what am I doing wrong? If the latter, where can I get it?
Thanx

It sounds like you're stuck in the same boat I am. I just upgraded from 2.25 and none of my stuff works anymore. I'm on 1.1.2 and while mnplight appears to have been updated to support 1.1.3, there I don't see a backwards compatability option.
If anybody out there knows a way to fix this, that would be great, because I don't want to upgrade yet. 1.1.2 is really stable, and rejailbreaking, reloading all my stuff, retweaking it just the way I want it would be such a pain.

What is the reason for you guys to not update to firmware 1.1.4 using Pwnage or iLiberty?
Right now we are in the middle of a (little) transition phase ("little" in comparison to the PPC/Intel transition). Apple is right now working on changes of the iPhone OS X operating system to make 3rd party software install and run in a user environment (/var/mobile), rather than as root (/var/root/). In terms of security that step really makes sense. In general I would not expect any 3rd party software author to support outdated firmware versions like <= 1.1.3.
So why don't you just update and be a little more grateful to "Treb" who's coding all nights long to offer at least a way for syncing under Linux...

I have experienced problem with pellicules feature. After i installed MNPlight, and played around with pellicules, creating new albums, moving pictures from one to another, deleting empty albums, etc, my pc doesn't see any images on Apple Digital Sitll Camera (or whatever the name is when i connect iphone to pc via usb) even though there are picutres in camera roll and in /private/var/mobile/Media/DCIM/100APPLE . Is there a way to fix this?

I agree with what you say about Treb not having to support older firmware versions. That's why I'm not asking him to fix my problem, just to provide an earlier version of the software. shouldn't be too complicated.
Reasons for not updating are battery life issues and carkit problems that have been reported. As the main useage for my iPhone is still the phone function I don't want to update unless these issues are permanently fixed.
So if someone could just email me the files of a version that works under 1.1.2 I would be helped a lot.

Hi there!
I'm also on 1.1.2 and it works perfectly for me... well i had to modify some rights on folder /private/var/mobile/Media/MNPlight Ok, it's ugly, not safe, crappy, whatever you want but it works!
(at least for the only function I use: listening to radios).
Edit: of course I'm using the latest version of MNPlight (2.27)

I am having the same rights issues, and I thought I fixed them, but MNP still doesn't sync with my Google calendars. This is the error message I get when I try to do so:
Exception Exception Failure (getfield: no key)
I actually have several Google calendars, and I get different error messages when I try to download them. (Please note that I have successfully stored my Google login and p/, because I get the "connection successful, calendar received, updating events" message.) Here's another:
Exception Exception Invalid argument (String.sub)
Can anybody help? I should also add that I had an old version of MNP working perfectly under 1.1.2, and I don't think that MNP did a clean update when I went to 1.1.4. There are MNP files in both ../mobile and ../root.
Please help. This could be one of the most useful apps around.
