I know how to generate groups on the iPhone, so the only information missing is how the group information should be stored in the file used for import/export...
I did not find a way to add groups on the iPhone. I have all the 1000 contacts in one list. How can you create groups there?

csv is harder to do, as there is no standard field order, and no standard header.

I'll send you some infos on the video stuff tomorrow, via PM.

MNPlight 2.16 (and before) doesn't work correctly with firmware 1.1.2. I'm currently updating my iPhone to that firmware, but it might take a while to understand the new changes in formats...

a nice addition to the ical import would be to update the calendar regularly, like every day or every hour...

THIS APPLICATION IS ALL ABOUT THE CALENDAR FOR ME!!!

spacewurm: for regular automatic updates, just edit your crontab file (crontab -e) to run mnplight import of the ical at whatever schedule you would like. man crontab or google to understand how cron works

    MNPLight Team:

    (1) GREAT WORK! Version 2.16 now works correctly. Before, I was getting appointments entered all over the place, .. sometimes 4 or 6 hours off.

    (2) When trying to import an Office 2007 exported .ical, MNPLight barfs and says "exception raised" or something to that effect. This is NOT a problem with the .ical format output by Office 2007.. I know this because I downloaded the .ical file over http on my PC, moved it to the iPhone, and imported it from my root folder directly... and appointments showed up correctly.

    (3) Alarms do not seem to be importing correctly, is this planned?

    (4) Any progress on stability of recurring events?

    (5) Any plans for 2-way sync capability with Google? Sorry, now I'm getting greedy

I was trying to take my own advice to create a crontab for auto-execute, but this does not work:

    mnplight -ical

It just says "checking for mnplight running", then exits. Or at least, it's not telling me it's doing anything...

I have searched, but -- I probably don't know for what to ask...

I want to add .pls files, but as I see here in the thread, I need to be able to create one on my Mac and add it via some file manager app. Two questions (and please...in simple terms a non-programmer would understand).

    1) How do I create the .pls file on my Mac?

    2) Which application should I use to move the file from the Mac to iPhone?

    Thanks,

    Andrew

@gilburne: .pls are files given by webradios for itunes. MNPlight thus support webradios for itunes. Then, MNPlight includes a file download plugin. To download first you just have to do like with a normal browser. After that, go to section "import" of MNPlight and click download. The .pls will be automaticly added to the good directory.
