    Default Help with Independence 1.3.1

Fairly new to working with my jailbroken iPhone. Have installed mostly through installer. Want to install an app via Independence 1.3.1 but when I go to do so it asks me to enter the IP address of the phone and the root password. What is the root password? I used "alpine" but can't get it to work. I have SSH installed so am not sure what to do. Any help would be much appreciated. I am using a 1.1.2 iphone.

    Thanks!

    Brian

You should really use the search function, there is a lot of info about that!
Also check out the help function in Independence. Everything is there!
Are you sure that you used the right ip adress? You can check the ip of your iPhone directly on the Phone by tapping on Settings > Wi-Fi > the blue dot with the white arrow next to the name of your network. Be sure to use this ip and also check, weather it is in the same network as your mac. You can check the ip of your mac in System Settings > Networking

Have you tried SSH-ing in to your phone directly from a FTP program like Transmit? If so you can upload apps to your /Applications directory. Also, I noticed that if I installed openSSH on my iPhone, iNdependence would no longer be able to SSH onto it. But whatever you do, don't press that "Remove SSH" button in Independence! You will be totally screwed, as it will somehow remove BOTH SSH installations.
