I want to activate my iPhone with iNdependance

i keep reading about people jailbreaking there phones and stuff and things going wrong...do i have to do that to activate and if i do do i only have to do it once and not again.... Do i have to do it everytime i wanna sync music to it

as long as you have independence 1.1.1 and itunes 7.4 don't worry about a thing... If you haven't upgraded itunes, and are still running 7.3 then use an older version of independence. i recommend using the latest version of both.

in order to activate it, you will have to jailbreak it... jailbreaking it is not a bad thing, it gives you the ability to add a lot of nice apps and such to your phone. just make sure that when you are done adding/modifying it, you rejail it until the next time you want to mess with it.

No. Just think of the activation as the process of making that "activate your phone" screen go away, so you can use the iPhone functionalities (iPod, Safari..etc).

You will need to do the activation process again if you do an iPhone firmware update/restore.
