Default [Convert] DVD to iPhone conversion?

Okay, so I know that there is a lot of tools out there for converting DVD movien to a format that will play on my iPhone.. but I can't seem to find one that can do it right..
Meaning like Steve Jobs is showing when he first presented the iPhone - being able to view a full widescreen movie (Pirates of Caribbean) and dubble tap for the movie to fill the screen..

watch the iPhong introduction here the part where he is showing what I wsant is 00:20:20 to 00:21:00

I can't this result when I try to convert Pirates of the Caribbean..
I can get the full widescreen, but then I am unable to dubble tap and make the movie fill the whole screen (I end up with black edges at the top and bottom, only a fraction smaler than before dubble tapping)

or I can convert it so that it filles the screen, but then eather I am unable to zoom out and get full widescreen or the image is distorted (abnormal long faces)

My question is: How do I convert a DVD so that I get the results Steve Jobs is showing when he first introduced the iPhone? (Result in the video clip ndescribed above)

I'm on a PC by the way

Well, I have used DVDDecrypter, I think that works. But there is a program that I got for free that can get YouTube videos, DVDs, and something else lol, but it would convert it to the right size for several different iPods, and iPhone.iTouch. But I cannot remember the name at the moment..

Use Handbrake, it is free and let you rip with chapters, several languages for the subtitles, has a preview before ripping and dedicated iPhone profile.

(thread renamed and moved to the right section, read my signature's link to understand why)

Do as XianLi recommends, handbrake is the tool to use.
Steve Jobs double tapping -> full screen works in one szenario. The iPhone screen is - as most modern TV sets are - 16:9. Lots of movies are widescreen, even on a 16:9 TV set you will experience black bars on top and bottom. If you encode a widescreen movie to 16:9 you can do the Steve Jobs thing, but: it will not show some parts on the right and left hand, its just a zoom in.
If the basic material (video) is widescreen I would always set encoding to widescreen in handbrake aswell. Even though there is not much data in the black bars on top and bottom, they dont have to be encoded with the video then.

Will Xilisoft DVD to PSP not do the same? I've been using it for ages. I'll give Handbreak a go.

It will produce a file that is usable. But you will get better quality and resolution using handbrake cause you can adjust it. Xilisofts solution is optimised for PSP and does not use optimized settings for the iPhone. Just give it a try and check if the quality satisfies your needs.
