It would be nice to get a guide for how to get Outlook to sync with iPhone! Many people seem to have problem to get everything synced completely (including me!) Anyone?

I would like to have an answer to this question, as I could not sync my contacts from MS outlook to my iphone.

for anyone who is haing a problem syncing with outlook...make sure you have outlook 2003 or newer...otherwise it wont work.

You can see in itunes with what you can sync your iphone with. So you have to look how you get your sync stuff, contacts for example into there, the windows adress book or outlook express for example, if it is that what you want to sync! But maybe the phone software is a better way for a solution. I could only sync to windows adress book from nokia software, as like mentioned above outlook might not support it.

last two days, I tried, installing/uninstalling ms office 2007 and also ms office 2003, itunes different versions. NOTHING works for me.

I can see the plugin of itunes in my outlook. but I cannot see the outlook option in Itunes contact to sync.

I have my contacts on both outlook and outlook express. I even have them as a CSV file, but no joy here with winxp.

any help? other software maybe!!

I've read that you can try to disable all other plugins at Outlook leaving just Itunes plugin, and also try to do it with the contacts on Outlook oppened.

Didn't try these yet, but I will...

That's weird... . Mine works fine and I didn't do anything. I'm on Windows Vista and Office 2007.

I like it aswell. Since I am using 3 different operating systems because of my work: debian, os x and winnie... so what would be the alternative to Thunderbird? Can anyone of these wanna-be-computer-users tell me that?

Right, there is none. Thunderbird is the only emailclient to support the IMAP protocol in a reasonable manner. Forget mac-mail or outlook or even entourage - when it comes to imap you are lost with that commercial b*llsh!t.

btw: firmware 1.02 had also strange behaviours while operating with imap... Seems like Apple's guys didn't read the imap-rfc's very carefully.

But ok: I really know implementing IMAP is no fun but who else could that do any better than such big companies with lots of money for the best programmers on this planet? Very sad that wether MS nor Apple think this is necessary. So far the Mozilla implementation is by far the best and so f*ck the rest
