I have no idea why the Terminal won't open on your system... but I included a standalone setup script for the RSA communication now in the new version (1.2.2).
You can start it by doubleclick or in Terminal and just key in the IP and password when needed.

I used iBackup under 1.1.3 and it worked. I just upgraded to 1.1.4 with Pwnage Tool and iBackup just got stuck at terminal.app... I just updated to the newest version of iBackup and it opens terminal, but it just creates empty folders.

iPhone-RSA-setup.sh works (asks for the password, runs, completes), however the result is still the same, empty folder :-(

Hi Kelly,

I am working with installer.app AND CYDIA.
Cydia replaces the BSD subsystem. Tenex C Shell is installed by Cydia as an enhanced version of the BSD C shell.
Is there a way to work around this?
I tried to reinstall BSD in the installer.app, but that doesn't work.

I have tried to run this app numerous times and keep failing at the same step. It just sits there searching for Terminal.app. I am using a 16GB 1.1.4 unlocked iPhone and my Mac is running 10.5.2 and I am using the latest version of iBackup. Any thoughts please?

Yes, CYDIA is the rsync not found problem.
I installed rsync via CYDIA now (Start CYDIA, go to search and type "rsync" and install it.)

But there is a new problem now:

OK, it works for me now...

My problem was the rsync from CYDIA.
I replaced rsync manual with the rsync- file from the BSD_Subsystem Package.
rsync is placed on /usr/bin/ (on the iphone).

Now it works!

can you explain in details, pls, what and how did you acomplished this?!
Do you have both, Cydia & BSD installed?
I only have Cydia. Where do I get rsync from BSD from?

Like 13inad, I replaced rsync manual with the rsync- file from the BSD_Subsystem Package. This didn't work at first, but after manually entering your iPhone-RSA-setup.sh it's now working great.
