    Djassa,
could you please check the debug version and post the results?

There's obviously a problem with the rsync command... but it's built in OS/X core functions... so especially if you're also on 10.5 I can not see what's going wrong...

    thank you!

Worked great for me. This is a great tool ! It will surely make it's way to the top since it's the only GUI backup application for Mac that i've seen so far. Fast too.

    Great job !

    For me works great
I have the program in a different folder than terminal
Open the app, tuns, and terminal open automatically and asks for iphone. Put "alpine" and works great
Create backup folders with all data

Thanks all for the "success" stories so far :-)

I don't plan on a windows version right now... because the ease of a unix shell script and MAC built in functions is hard to transfer to windows.. at least requires much effort.

At the moment I'm still at figuring out what's the problem with rsync on those machines that get "empty folders" and building iBackup as a real Cocoa application, which will come soon.

    Happy Backup,
    Kerry.

Is that correct, that you are on 10.4.1? I can only test on 10.5... so maybe that's the problem here.
Here´s the output of the debug version where iBackup is stalling

    Code:
    #### Opening Terminal.app ###
    2008-04-03 19:22:40.301 open[1025] No such file: /-n

Default HOORAY! Found the "empty folders" error! :-)

    Dear fellas,

finally I figured out what's wrong with the "empty folders" problem:

The "rsync not found" is due to it's not found on the ***iPhone*** not on your MAC!
Didn't know that it needs the same counterpart there.

But no problem, it's part of the "BSD Subsystem" found in "System" in the apptapp installer.

I hope this is the problem... please don't tell me you have BSD installed :-) At least I got exactly the same error when I moved rsync away on my iPhone....

So.. please check and tell me the results!

    Cheers,
    Kerry.
