Maybe you can clarify the description of what was terribly slow.

Juanito: the standard backup goes into the User Library of your MAC ($HOME/Library/iBackup/data). There are no zip archives created and a standard restore will always go from that data. The new version 2.1 says that now on the very main window to clarify that FAQ ;-)

Kerry : I took a back up, then restored the firmware to a factory install and then installed BSD Subsystem and OpenSSH and then restored it ... After the restore, the iPhone was terribly slow and it barely responded to my input despite a restart of the iPhone. I had to restore again...
