    Lightbulb [1.1.3] JailBreak Idea

I have an idea of how the 1.1.3 jailbreak may work.

Create a symbolic link from / to /var/root/media like we did with 1.1.1.
I see no way Apple could patch this as it is a very hard core work around.

If this has been patched than we may find (after 1.1.3 is out) that apple has some folder somewhere for 3rd party apps (assuming that 1.1.3 will support 3rd party apps in Feb.) that we can edit with iPHUC, place Finder.app in there and it will will show up on the Home Screen. where we can then copy and paste the files for ssh from /var/root/media to there proper locations.

    Just some ideas.

I am guessing it will be /AppleInternal/Applications, as there are many references to this if you disassemble the SpringBoard application (Referring to the folder that 3rd-party apps will be stored in)

Well they may just write directly to the partition rather than to where it's mounted at (/var/root/media or /) and this would mean that Symbolic links wouldn't work. Just a thought.

it might work if you do a hard link instead of a symbolic one.
    ln instead of ln -s

In effect they could also bladder the partitions as part of the upgrade process to wipe out any previous "hacks" just something to bare in mind.

The likelyhood is that when 1.1.3 is released it will be gearing up to support 3rd party applications in-line with the release of the iPhone SDK.

/AppleInternal/ folder sounds more specific to the CORE APPS developed specifically by Apple Inc. (Just a thought that's all).

reusing the symbolic link is a good idea.... the only way they can stop that is to have the update erase the user partition like it does in a restore
