[1.1.2] VT100 Terminal.app unstable all of suden
My vt100 teminal is acting wierd.
Don't know why.
Whenever I enter a command, (as simple as "ls" f.ex.) I get no result, but a [Process completed]
vt100 terminal then no longer accepts any command untill I relaunch it.
It used to work just fine, don't know what I could have broken.
Couple of weeks ago, I faced a problem (reached the 72 icons limit in SpringBoard) and had to install nattrue's ssh in order to regain access to my iPhone.
Did nothing but uninstall the latest application I had installed (with installer) and iPhone started to work fine again.
I don't know if this is linked, but I also noted that whenever I log into my phone through putty, I now get the same kind of behavior: whenever I enter a command, putty would simply close unexpectedly, without producing any result.
Any hint at what I may have scrambled ?!?
/Edit
My prompt in vt100 shows:
Last login: bla bla bla on ttyp0
-sh-3.2#
And I tried to re-install vt100 terminal from installer without success.
Manually trying to install terminal from latest sources available at http://code.google.com/p/mobileterminal/downloads/list didn't work either (black screen, which seems to be a reported bug on 1.1.2)

Reinstall the BSD subsystem. I found mine broke when I wasn't using the correct bash shell.

well, Term-vt100 [v. svn198] is not unstable, but "back-space"-Key is no more working properly,
when pressing "backspace" it is doing a space instead of backspace.
if i observed it properly, this happens since i upgraded BSD Subsystems to now Version 2.0 (using Installer v. 3.0) on a OTB 1.1.2 (running with TurboSIM, never upgraded to 1.1.3)
(( ok ... i also was running BossTool:Free Disk Space shortly after updating BSD-subsys. ))
somebody encountered same issue?
somebody has an idea how to fix that?
maybe Term-vt100 requires an update (after BSD-subsytems upgrade)?
is an upgrade scheduled?
thanks for good hints in advance,
greez,

ok.
i have found the solution for the issue i described above.
sorry for posting before looking for info myself.
BSD Subsystem 2.0 Termfix (found in Installer) did the job.

Happens with the older MobileTerminal because it is starting a root session and you are running as the user mobile (I think).
Use the root password and it should let you in.

this is a TERM problem
type : export TERM=vt100
then backspace and everything else should work
edit /etc/profile and add that into it so you dont have to type it everytime
