    Default [1.1.2][Howto] Get more International Languages & Keyboards

    You know how you can import the languages and keyboard from iTouch firmware in 1.1.1, well in 1.1.2 you're not longer able to do it, although there's native languages and keyboard, but what about...others? I want it to be more. so very simple, do the following you'll get everything back.

    of course your iphone must be jailbreak, ssh'ed and such.

    get 1.1.2 languages from iTouch's firmware, to do that, check on touchdev, you only need Applications/ and /System, pick out the non-language-related stuff, very important.

    put the language packs into your 1.1.2 iphone and do whatever you need to make it work just like it was in 1.1.1;

    get a copy of /System/Library/Frameworks/UIKit.framework from 1.1.1 firmware, you need the whole folder, and, put it into the place in your 1.1.2 iphone.

    Languages and Keyboards are back, and everything's seem working pretty well. enjoy

    also, for NativeCN users, you'll be happy for this, because once you replaced the UIKit.framework, NativeCN can run and patch the wordlist.dat without trouble in 1.1.2 iPhones, I can type Chinese in 1.1.2 again! YAY~oh also the Japanese

    EDIT: after replaced the UIKit, phone function will not work that when you try to use it, it crashes, so get the 1.1.2 UIKit the binary execute file, put it to the place it should be, then restart SpringBoard, phone will work again. also replace the keyboard artwork files.

    it seems like 1.1.1 UIKit doesn't fully working with 1.1.2, any program that calls contacts function will crash, so let's see where this will go.

    I found how to work properly for the NativeCN.

    Just don't copy the UIKit bin file and everything will be fine

    Question One more keyboard?

    I am trying to find some way to create another keymap (not supported in this package yet). My idea is just take some Latin keyboard, but add (or change) letter what appear when you touch-and-hold over some letter, to include all central european characters (iso8859-2). I found some keyboard, but you have to switch to second layout, which replaces some letters with accented ones, which I find ugly. And I am afraid it is for 1.1.1, not for 1.1.2.

    Can anyone point me to some tutorial or so? If I succeed, I will be more than happy to share results for including in the package.

    There is no Chinese language pack default in iPhone 1.1.2 or below, so even you enable the international setting, your main phone language will still be english
