[1.1.1 OTB] SSH connection issue
I have an activated, unlocked OTB 1.1.1 phone that has been working great for months now.
However, I recently used iNdependence to remove installer.app because I heard that doing so might fix my voicemail notifications problem; it didn't.
Well, now I would like to re-install installer.app because there is an SMSFix in there that might solve my voicemail notifications problem.
The problem is that when I first removed installer.app, I also uninstalled SSH using iNdependence.
Now that I want to reinstall installer.app, I have reinstalled SSH using iNdependence, and changed the root password to something more personal.
However, when I try to add installer.app in the customize tab of iNdependence, I get the following error:
"Couldn't connect to SSH server. Ensure IP address is correct, phone is connected to network, and SSH is installed correctly"
I'm using the IP address listed in my wifi settings on the phone.
I've tried to install installer.app in both the System as well as the User sections.
I've tried using the passwords "dottie" as well as "alpine" in case my earlier password change was unsuccessful, however, when I do so, I get a password error from iNdependence.
I only get the "Couldn't connect to SSH server..." error when I use the password I created earlier.
Keep in mind that very recently, I was able to SSH into my phone to uninstall installer.app in the first place.
Can somebody please tell me how to fix this problem so I can SSH into my phone to add/remove programs, etc?
Thank you for any help!

have you tried going to http://www.jailbreakme.com/ that installs the installer automaticlly

You know what. That's not a bad idea. Thanks!
However, I would still like to get SSH working...any other tips?

if it does auto install the installer, you can install ssh from inside installer

Does uninstalling SSH with iNdependece really do a clean uninstall of SSH?
I ask because I know that having SSH installed from iNdependence as well as OpenSSH from installer running at the same time can cause problems.

I tried to connect to my iNdependence-installed SSH through terminal by typing the following:
ssh root@my.phones.ip.address
Then terminal gave me this:
@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ @@@@@@@@@
@ WARNING: REMOTE HOST IDENTIFICATION HAS CHANGED! @

edit - Nevermind! I simply deleted the known_hosts file and reinstalled ssh via iNdependence. I still couldn't connect to the phone through SSH using iNdependence but I was able to use Fetch to SFTP to the phone. I installed installer.app this way.
Now to fix my voicemail notification problem!
----------------------
I have since restored 1.1.1, re-activated/installed installer.app via jailbreakme.com.
I then installed BSD subsystem & openssh.
Now I can SFTP into my phone with Fetch again.
What should I use to try to SSH into my phone?
