In the blog comments 'gotoh" mentioned that the AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext loaded OK with his Pentium 640, is that a Cedar Mill?
I noticed when using both the AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext and the AcpiCpuThrottle.kext I no longer get a Panic just a message on the desktop that the kext(s) did not load.
The "64-bit fixed" Kernel is sooo Good but the Fan noise is making me CrAzY !!
There must be something we can edit in the plist or executable to make this work.
    Minds a Intel D945GBO mobo with Pentium D 950 SL95V (C1)

If your fans go out of bounds because you are missign this kext, delete the the Thermo kext belonging to ACPI. Will fix it.

    Hello all.

I have the same problem, so I use the netkas kernel "Wed Apr 18 12:52:31".

My CPU is a P4 530 (http://processorfinder.intel.com/Det...SL7KK&OrdCode=) and if I remove AppleIntelCPU... then it happens two things:

    1. FANs run at more speed.
    2. CPU benchmark is about 1/2 (using linpak test)

It seems that AppeIntelCPU does some initialize rutines on our processors :-?

    Bye and thank you.

I had a problem also with ACPICCPUThrottle.kext in 10.4.9 with netkas kernel (from http://www.macdotnub.info/blog/), the .dmg files can't mount anymore the same as USB flash drive.

I already replaced the System.kext and Kernel.framework from 10.4.8, but still the same. Any idea?

10.4.10 with 8.10.1 kernel version, no need to delete appleintelpowermanagement.kext anymore! Even no need to add "-f" to boot.plist!

Thank you so much to all DEVS!!!

    Does 8.10.1 kernel support speedstep?

I asked this because I assume all 10.4.10 kernels are still binary hacked rightnow since apple hasn't publish the source code

So it is different from what netkas has done.

by the way, Netkas, now it is July, are you able to work on the kernel again?

Default Please make your NEWEST universal kernel 8.9.1 complete

    Hi Netkas,
AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext will not load, still broken for Pentium D 9xx users! FAN Noise is Crazy. Please make your NEWEST universal kernel 8.9.1 complete and resolve this issue.
Netkas kernel @ 18.04.2007 11:18 CEST worked fine, however had no 64bit.
Systems Failing are Intel D945GBO w/ PentiumD 950, PentiumD 945 on Dell 5150 and PentiumD 925 in ASRock 945G-DVi.
AppleIntelCPU power....kext Seems OK with PentiumD 820 an early Presler B1 core which had EIST disabled and the Cedar Mill Pentium4 640 w/ mobo GA945GM-S2.
    Thank You.
