smallest kernel possible
Hi there
Im running a larger nettwork, and ofte need to reinstall os on the drive. Can anyone tell me is it possible to make a stabile kernel, running only nettwork/monitor and make it so small it fits on a 1gb memory stick?
is this possible? all the other stuff comes by nettwork, applications and the rest of the OS, then reboot an... voila!

Is it possible to explain your request a bit? Kernel is only 4 mb, it's just the OS core.
I think you are talking of a live system aren't you?

Yes, a live system, but gui is not important here, only a guest process from filewave(.com) the FW deamon is loading other components on to the disk.

Why not DL darwin from apple site ? It doesn't even require any patch and is about 500Mb large
