Install OS X on ThinkPad T42p: problem
I tried to install OS X Tiger 10.4.8 on my IBM ThinkPad T42p.
In the installation I chose all pakets but the paket for AMD.
Cause I have an intel CPU ;)
When I try to boot my computer after the installation I can see the picture with the apple logo :pie: and the loading circle but then there comes strips and I can't do anything.
It looks like this: http://www.pajbam.com/wp-content/upl...oot_screen.jpg
I thought that it's because of my graphic card (I have an ATI Radeon Mobility 9600) and in the installation I can only choose the paket Nvidia Support.
There isn't one for ATI. So I'd downloaded ATI drivers from this link Radeon® Series Drivers and Software for Mac OS X 10.4.x and 10.3.x
I put them on a Flash Disk and copie it on my intern Hard disk (with the Utilities from the installationprogram)
But it doesn't help.
Know anybody where the problem is?
Or have anybody an idea what I can do?
PS.: sorry for my bad english. I hope you can understand me ;) :)
