ibm thinkpad t40p with jas 10.4.8
so heres the deal i have been a member of insanelymac for a long time and a few years ago it was the easiest site to get some answers to my questions, sadly i have had a thread posted there for nearly two weeks with no reply, i am reaching out to this community to try and find some answers.
i own an ibm thinkpad T40P and i recently (about a month ago) installed Jas 10.4.8 on it, the machine runs flawlessly, EXCEPT for bluetooth WIFI and sleep, i have tried to obtain information on what kexts i might have to install, but research has come up with dead ends and the other website has been absolutely no help. some threads i have read indicate that an update to 10.5.1 may enable my wifi but the thinkpads that are running 10.5.1+ are t40 not t40p, other threads indicate swapping a specific dell wifi card will make AirPort work oob. with this in mind i took a shot i tried to swap my wifi card last night with a Broadcom card from an old Compaq presario 2535us that i have sitting around with no luck (a year or two ago i had an HPdv6605us with a broadcom card fully functional with 10.5.6 which is why i went ahead and tried this). the bios tells me that the card is not supported, to remove it and replace with supported card. im at a dead end. i would like to know if anyone can help me in my efforts to get this working to its full potential
(P.S. Pardon my grammar)
