Sony likes to make things difficult and slapped my system with a proprietary BIOS that will practically self-destruct if touched. I know some BIOS can have an extra EFI layer placed ontop, but I'm pretty sure I'll never be able to get that with my system.
I have two HDs: one with soley OS X and no other partitions, and one with soley Vista and no other partitions.
So going the route of a mini-partition: I need to find a way to create additional partitions on an HFS+ drive without formatting data first. Currently a drive with Vista is set to master, so I guess I'll have to set the newly-paritioned Mac drive as the master through my BIOS.
Basically, my ideal use for the new hacked EFI would be to have EFI load from a sub-partition on my Mac drive, and from there boot into either OS X or my existing Vista installation.
But again I'm not sure if boot camp is even a possibility. Even if it is, I might have to format my drive and create a new Vista installation from the Boot Camp app (although I'm sure there's a way to make it use existing installations of Vista.)
Blah, I know I'm probably getting way ahead of myself on this.

Did some research on my own.
It seems this might not get so far very soon.
Almost the entire Mac hardware is brought up by EFI and it's not detected by EFI, no matter if you load the driver or not.
Even further, loading the entire apple firmware did nothing more.

I'm pretty sure EFI doesn't play a huge role in the Mac OS (yet.) The whole reason why 10.4.4 was hacked so quickly was due to that fact. If the whole system relied on it, we wouldn't be where we are now. Sure there's encoding of some key apps, but that proved easy enough to handle (and on-the-fly!) when r2d2 first came along.
