Hey everyone, my PC is a Toshiba Satellite 2450-101 model. I've managed to fully install 10.4.8 and Win XP (dual boot) on it and I'm very pleased with the results. I used to have perfect sound.

BUT, for some strange reason, whe I booted in XP for a little while, and then booted back in 10.4.8 I realised I DIDN'T have sound. I went in preferences etc. and It's says there is no output device detected... I have a SoundMAX intergrated digital audio card, and I use the AC97 kext.. Everything used to work really nice but then......

Please, Please, PLEASE. Lend me some of your help.

SOLVED!!!

I plugged a USB sound card and that seemed to revived the internal one for some ODD reason.. anyway.
