3GS Stuck on Logo Bootloop ios 3.1.3 jailbroken with Spirit many years ago

My jailbroken 3GS (w/ spirit) all of a sudden stuck on the apple logo. It would loop for hours. I also plug it in for a few hours so it still charges since it has not died. If you hold the home button after a holding the sleep and home button it will stay blank. If I do that in when itunes is open, it would ask if i would like to do a recover. I'm afraid to do the recover since i heard it will delete all my cherished photos and important notes etc. The last time I did a backup was a year ago. Is there any way I can get out of the boot and still maintain all the info that is in my phone using programs mentioned by others? Ie Recboot, IReb, Etc? I'm not sure what program to use and if it even possible in this scenario. Is there someone out there be able to help me? :woz: I've been out of a phone for the past 4 days and it's like missing another arm or leg. Thanks in advance! :o

Yes that happens occaccionaly. If you never did an update and there are important files on the device, you will need to perform a recovery. Thats not a easy thing at all but doable.

First you need msft guys ramdisc maker, build yourself a ssh recovery ramdisc. Than you need to use a tool to mount it and run it on your device. From there you can mount the system fs to it and sftp your files to your computer.

I'm not sure how to do what you just explained but does that mean my phone will be back to normal just how it was before it froze on me?

I have done a backup a long time ago and most of my apps are shown in itunes. If I do recover through itunes would i then be able to install what was backed up from a year ago?

You can get your Apps always via iTunes (just get them back via your backlog), music re-download needs to be re-requested from Apple.

No files on the phone worth doing a recovery?
