That usually fixes such problems. Spirit is new, it is possible it is a real bug. The only thing you can do is try the clean restore and then activate properly via iTunes. Jailbreak with the latest version of spirit - set up the phone as new.

Did a factory restore, then re-JB'd
Battery life is much better, but still not as good as stock firmware.

I have similar issues on a 2G and never found a solution. The battery drain problem occurred first after updating to 3.x from 2.x firmware. I tried everything (push, bluetooth, wlan, ...). What could cause this problem? Why restoring from backup could cause battery drain. Are there permanent settings somewhere not overwritten by a clean restore?
