There is no jailbreak for 3.1.3 on the 3G iPod touch today. You have no option but to wait.

Slander,
You can jailbreak your Ipod but its classed as a tethered Jailbreak, if you reboot then when it comes up with the screen you have you have to connect it to your pc and run Blackra1n again and wait for the unlock screen to appear, and away you go....
I have a 64GB 3G ipod jailbroken with Blackra1n, i just make sure i keep it charged all the time or have a PC close if i need to reboot.
Hope this helps..
Kev...

If you bought it brand new and it has the 3.1.3 firmware on it from the factory, than (NO) it can not be jailbroken and you should have not went to 3.1.3 from 3.1.2 if that is truely what your saying (doubt it)
So much info. out there on Google and you still do not believe that the jailbreak is impossible right now, than you say you supposedly downgraded from 3.1.3 to 3.1.2 which can not be done if you bought it brand new with the 3.1.3 firmware already in it.

Hi, I have a 3rd gen i touch and i jailbroke it and ive been having it fora while and i havent had any problems until now. It turned off on me for some reason, but luckly, i was home, so i thought all i had to do was run black rain and jailbreak it again, but when i did do that, all it did was show the itunes sign again, after when it rebooted. It does show the battery in the corner of the screen, and when i turn it off, the usual slide that comes with my theme comes up, and thats it. When i turned it off thinking when i do it again it will be fine, the same thing comes. Please help.

I have a 3G 16Gb iPod touch, from what I know:
There is only a tethered jb for the 3G ipods (and 3Gs iphone), meaning every time you turn the ipod off you need to connect it to the pc and jb it again.
I didn't use it up until now cause people told me it can drive you nuts, but latley it seems like there is not going to be an untethered jb for the 3G.
So I think blackra1n is the only way..
Don't know much about it though,
I will be happy to hear opinions from people who use it

There will be an untethered jailbreak for 3rd gen iPod Touch - probably not until June though.

Read his original post, he has an 8Gb, since he was actually able to downgrade to 3.1.2 without previously having shsh files saved, so he jailbroke with blackra1n. It worked until he turned it off. (I don't think he knew that it was a tethered jailbreak at the time.)
All you need to do is downgrade the same way that you did before, then run blackra1n again every time you need the reboot. It will boot up jailbroken. Problem solved.

Agree except he doesn't even need to downgrade -- OP doesn't say he upgraded to 3.1.3 again, just that he jailbroke it. If that's correct, he can just use blackra1n to kickstart it (every time it reboots until the untethered jailbreak comes out after new iPhone hardware in June/July)
