ok here is the problem im having. i bought a jailbroken 3gs 3.1.2 worked great till one day it crashed and it would not let me restore the phone. the only thing it would let me do is upgrade to 3.1.3. so i did and its been a brick ever since. so i cant unlock it now with spirit because i need it to be activated. is there anything i can do? or should i just give it a toss??? thank you

Do you know anyone with a SIM on the carrier you're locked to? All you need to do is stick the SIM in and connect to iTunes. The spirit documentation was extremely clear that you needed to be able to legitimately activate, this really isn't the untethered jailbreak for unlockers....
