1.1.2 OTB [Problem] (Hypersim has ruined my iphone) NO SIM message

As the title says hypercard has ruined my iphone! let me explain

I got my sim today and thought great finally i can use my iphone as a phone but boy was i wrong,

Straight away i got to cutting my sim i took my time i didnt want to rush and ruin the sim as everyone has that number and i dont need or want the hassle of having to swap the number over to another sim,

Anyways the hypersim never worked (kept giving no sim message) and yes i know about the scratch lines thing and all that (i do read the fourms before posting )
The sim i cut is still working 100% in my other phone!!

So i then thought "what if it is because of the conectors maybe i should buy a NEW sim to try" as there would be no scratch marks the connection would (should) be perfect but i was wrong, (15 euro down the drain)

So i caried on trying to get my two sims to work (one old, one new) by moving the sims a little bit and trying to get them to conect,
No joy, still get the No Sim Message by this stage (2 hours later) im getting frustrated so i leave everything at home and go out for a little while,

I decided to go home and try to get them to work again and no luck i still get "no Sim" so i think ok enough, its not going to work lets just leave it (so i did)

But originaly the iphone worked with my UK o2 sim (as it was a uk otb iphone)
Now all i get is "No Sim" it wont work with any sim, it dosent even register the fact the sim is inside (usally you get iphone needs a vaild sim" or something like that)


Bsically my iphone is fucked (excuse my language) i can now no longer even hope to have a working iphone due to the crappy hypercard

And all i wanted this year for my birthday (tommorow) was to able to make calls and send texts from my iphone and it now looks like i will never be able too,

I´ve got the same issue with Turbosim.

Solved it, realigning the sim card and the turbosim, it seems that some providers use sim cards that does not align the cuts and contacts, my sim, is glued to the turbosim, 1mm off marks, and its is working good. if I align them as marked by bladox, I got the stupid NO SIM message.

thanks for the reply but hypercard is diffrent then turbosim its a dual card adapter.

And the iphone wont recongize my untouched uncut uk o2 sim that used to work perfect i had signal and could make and recive calls now it doesnt even think theres a sim inside

hey man just had a thought.

have you tried throwing the AT&T card into your iphone? it should say no service.

also have you tried this:
go to settings ->general and turn airport mode ON..

then turn it off.. it should try to detect your sim and hopefully for you, a short quick message saying that it is invald should come up.. if it still says no sim then that will mean it is actually indeed screwed.. I'm sure you have done all this and it is for real screwed.. but anything to try and help man.

Thanks for the help your right i have tried, i think the hypercad pulled on the inside connectors and thats why im getting no sim looks like i have two choices 1 open the phone and try and fix it but risk damaging more 2 sell it at a loss and forget about having an iphone

Well, man, relax. You're going to be fine. The chance that the hypercard ruined your phone is really minimal, unless you didn't install the sims according to instructions and then forced it into the slot. It doesn;t need to be forced. Before anything else, though, I'd suggest restoring your phone to the original firmware and trying your orginal o2 sim. If that doesn't work, let's take it from there, but try that first, just in case. Let us know!

thanks for your reply but i have followed the insturctions propely and as i said in the post above i think it pulled on the connectors inside the iphone

I used no force to put it in or take it out so its not from force also i have restored the phone with no luck im now downgradng and going to see what happens but i doubt anything happens

I have just completed making a thread in the flea market area to sell this iphone it should hopefully be posted soon i havent set a price for the phone im just opening it to offers to see what i can get but it does come with extras

If you used no force to push it in or pull out, it's extremely unlikely that you damaged the connectors in your phone! so it's likely something else going on: either something with the o2 sim that worked at one point, or with the software of the iphone. What else could it be? I just don't think the hypercard damaged your phone.

Just to make sure, and sorry for asking, but is your hypercard the U.K version?

Also, did you cut your original o2 sim too? If so, you might want to try getting a new o2sim and trying it in the regular sim holder without hypercard.
