After i used Redsn0w(version 8) with my iphone 3g on 3.0 using Windows Vista, the software had a number of small things to occur.

First of all everytime i power up my iphone the apple logo shows up for roughly 15 seconds then dissapears and the screen goes blank then 15 seconds later it goes to the lock screen (even though this occurs the iphone can be used still) i dont know if thats usual because this is my first time using redsn0w. is it usual to go to the lockscreen after a black screen or should it boot directly to the home menu like it did in 2.2.1 (i always used quickpwn so i dont know how redsn0w should work)?
(also this effecty of screen blackout also occurs when restored with itunes)

Secondly of all now that i play my music on my iphone it allways keeps track of where i left off even after turning it off is there a way to disable that feature because i prefer to listen to my music from the beggining whenever i change a song.

This is normal on iPhone firmware 3.0. It will start up slower than iPhone firmware 2.x..
