Version 1.1.3 Unlocked, Possible to ReJailbreak?
Hey guys,
noob question here. 2g Iphone has been unlocked and jailbroken with one of the first releases on jailbreakme.com
Id like to update it with a newer op system but will that mean I would have to unlock the phone again? Or will the phone stay unlocked and the 2 things completely seperate?
Also, in rejailbreaking the phone does an installer come with it automatically? If not which is the best one for me to download.
I apologise if these are really stupid questions and appreciate any help.

No question is too stupid, we aim to help here.
If it is working unlocked on 1.1.3, then you can easily go to a newer iOS version - I'd recommend going straight to 3.1.3 (last 2G iOS version)
You will lose your existing data (data you have configured to sync via iTunes to your computer like contacts is kept), it is possible to preserve this but it's much more complicated and risk that you will experience stability problems. This means things like SMS and call history will be lost.
iClarified - iPhone - How to Unlock/Jailbreak Your iPhone 2G on OS 3.1.3 Using RedSn0w (Windows)
Run redsn0w with your SIM card inserted.
You need to unlock again (but this is done automatically by redsn0w or pwnagetool - i don't recommend you try any other tools unless you have a broken home or power button)
Make sure to set your iPhone up as new after running redsn0w.
Cydia is included with redsn0w and pwnagetool, this replaces Installer.app and all other non-AppStore installer programs.
