unlock 2g, already jailbroken
I want to unlock my 2g iPhone for my wife to run on T-mobile. Tried to download redsnw from many sites today April 5. No go, no response from servers. Is this temporary issue? Or is redsnw not available anymore?
If not, what version of redsnw should I use for unlock of the 2g. Again, iPhone is already jailbroken on 3.1.3
Where should I go to download it? And I guess, when?
Thanks.

I am hoping that any solution offered here will be an untethered and unlocked iPhone. Thanks, Russ

If it is already jailbroken you should just need to install and run bootneuter from Cydia. That will unlock it for you.

If you wanted to restore and go the redsnow method you would need redsnow 0.9.4. You would also need the two bootloader file for redsnow. Easier just to use bootneuter in your current situation.

x98car, Thanks! Downloaded Bootneuter, ran it and it successfully updated the boot-thingy's. After Flashing, a notification stating "Please wait - Determining current settings" is taking quite some time to finish, hope it does and goes away soon 10 minutes and counting on that notification. Russ
-Ok now 20 minutes on notification, no way out, home button works, but coming into boot loader, still has notification, no options there. Do I have to have the T-mobile sim install now, or could be later? What should I do? Power off? Hard restart? Sim?
-Powered off and restarted, Bootneuter came up without persistant notification, settings look right, all seems good now, minus the T-mobile sim, to come. Thanks again.

x98car, no go on T-mobile sim. Shows tmobile at the top, but asks for iTunes connection. iTunes says the sim card is not supported. Went to Bootneuter app, shows unlocked. No service on this phone, hope there is another option. Please help ASAP
If I have to revert to redsnw option, where do I download 9.4?
Update... rejailbroke and unlocked with redsnw 0.9.2, now appears to be working. Though Cydia is in a perpetual loop trying to update something.

Reason: Bootneuter did not work
