Unable to recognize specified IPSW
I am following the following guide step by step:
iClarified - iPhone - How to Unlock/Jailbreak Your iPhone 2G on OS 3.1.3 Using RedSn0w (Windows)
- iPhone has been restored pointing iTunes to iPhone1,1_3.1.3_7E18_Restore.ipsw;
- now I can see "slide for emergency"...
- On Step Six I get Unable to recognize specified IPSW instead of a successful message
Where is the mistake? Anything wrong? Please help

The reason this does not work is that redsn0w expects to see a 3.1.2 IPSW (even when it is used to jailbreak a 3.1.3 IPSW)
Download http://appldnld.apple.com.edgesuite....1_Restore.ipsw and use this in step 6. Then everything will work.
Also, I recommend that you get redsn0w from the official source rather than an untrusted link on rapidshare. Get redsn0w here redsn0w 0.9.2 [iPhone Dev Team]
I have informed iClarified of the error in the guide.
Question asked and answered already a million times. Thread closed.
