I have a 2G Iphone running 3.1 firmware. I have tried using Redsn0w to unlock the phone but it ends up freezing during the "waiting for reboot" period. The phoneis currently at the screen that show the itunes connection and states "No Sim card installed" I do not have an Att sim that I can put into the phone so i cannot get passed this point. Anyone have any suggestion on exactly what to do to unlock it from this point?

Redsn0w does not support OS 3.1

Are you sure you do not mean redsn0w 0.9.2 and OS 3.1.2?

Yes sorry, I am using both as you have stated. But for some reason the Iphone seems to stop responding when it goes to the white screen?

Any body have an idea of how I can restore my 2g? It does not communicate with itunes properly and I get code 1600 when it errors. any help would be greatly appreciated

Try everything listed on this page Update and restore alert messages on iPhone and iPod touch

1600 is a very generic error.

If you still have problems post your iPhone restore log on pastebin and link to that in this thread.
