Ultrasn0w 3g/data Error/no service

Hey, I just got my uncles old Rogers Iphone 3g because my Android broke, I jailbreak with redsnow installed ipad bb, mutitasking. battery % and wallpaper on 4.2.1, After everything was done I put in the ultrasn0w repo and installed ultrasn0w and it rebooted and it worked good on bell, Then I went to turn off 3g and data (beacause i dont have a Data plan) and I lost service so i rebooted and still no service, So I turned my 3g back on and my service came back

I need Help to trun off 3g without losing Service

Does the area you're in have EDGE as well as 3G? Make sure that the 3G toggle you're using (if it's not the one in the settings.app) is only disabling 3G and isn't disabling the cellular network in general. Some of the earlier toggles were pretty obnoxious about that. Beyond that, make sure the area you're in actually gets EDGE service. I've heard of some areas on the Rogers network that only have 3G coverage. I didn't think that was possible as I thought that 3G only carried data and didn't carry voice, but supposedly it is... I think it's more probable that the toggle you're using is actually disabling cellular data to begin with.

Last but not least, this could happen if your APN settings were incorrect. If you had to manually enter APN settings, re-check them. If you didn't, make sure that you aren't required to do so in order to obtain EDGE service on that carrier.

I am also facing this problem that network is not connecting until removing SIM card and put in it again...
