I screwed up my friend's iPhone - possible to fix it?
OK, so today I was a dumb idiot and wanted to jailbreak my friend's iphone 3G running 4.1, but I was stupid enough to use limera1n instead of redsn0w and it seems that I have bricked it. When I start it up, it gives me the "connect to iTunes" screen. I've tried EVERYTHING and every guide I could find, but nothing fixed this. I can run stuff like RecBoot or iReb which knock the phone out of recovery mode, but the only thing I get from that is a lock screen with the connect to iTunes picture in the background which only lets me do emergency calls. I can't restore it with iTunes (tried 3 diff. PCs and 1 Mac as well as different versions of iTunes, tried DFU, tried it not in recovery mode as well as in recovery mode, it always gives me either error 13 at about 75% or error 1601-1605 at the beginning or error 1015 also at around 75%), I've tried jailbreaking it using redsn0w 0.9.6b1 which gives me varying results: with the mac, it says it's finished but leaves the "downloading jailbreak data" screen on the iPhone and waiting gives no results, on the different windows PCs, it either crashes, does the same as on the mac or it goes through with it but only gives me a black screen and leaves the phone in recovery mode again. I've also tried different USB ports and cables. In iTunes, it says it's running 3.1.3 for some reason, so I tried recovering it to 3.1.3, which gave me the same thing as with 4.1 (when the bar on the phone is at like 75%, iTunes cancels the recovery and gives me an error 13). Does anyone have a clue what else I could do? I really don't wanna leave my friend with a bricked iPhone...
