cydia crashes constantly

I was installing liveclock and lockcalendar in queue mode in cydia on my 3.0 3G, all updates installed through cydia, when the apt installer suddenly RESTARTED the phone, and, ever since, cydia refuses to start. it crashes to springboard after 3 seconds. (I jailbroek using redsn0w .072)

I have tried rebooting, respringing, force-resetting, apt-get update in mobileterminal logged in as root, start cydia in safe mode....... non work. Cydia just crashes 3 seconds after being started.

Can you guys help me? is there a way to correct this? (without having to restore, of course. that's a REAL PAIN)

I already emailed Jay Ryan Freeman, but, he is very busy these days........

Similar issue. Updated and jailbroke with redsnOw last week, officially unlocked 3G phone. Cydia worked at the time, but contantly crashes now (it is DH phone so not sure what he did in the mean time). I ran redsnOw again, but no luck. It still crashes on opening Cydia. He needs cydia (don't we all?) Should I reinstall 3.0 ispw with itunes to correct, or is there something else?

clean restore, jailbreak and UPDATE cydia to the latest version. no running redsn0w over again....... (over the same already jailbroken firmware)
