I jailbroke my iPhone 4 with redsn0w earlier today. It was running 6.1.3 and I used redsn0w to jailbreak it with 6.0 firmware. I had no service so spent the past 2 hours trying to find why until I tried a method around an hour ago and it reset my iPhone back to the whole new phone setup process. It then went on to say that my sim card was now not the original one and was unsuitable for my phone and carrier so I turned on my laptop and loaded iTunes where I was confronted by a screen saying sim card unsuitable or unsupported or something. I then tried to put my phone into recovery mode and it is now just a black screen. I can't put it in dfu mode because my power button is broken and no programs will recognize it when plugged in (it won't even charge) so I cannot use my custom dfu ipsw. Please please help me, I cannot afford to replace this phone. Thank you so much in advance.
So did you install 6.1.3 with iTunes first Then had Red Snow write the special file to put it in DFU mode, then JailBroke the phone,Did the the phone work after you installed 6.1.3,Do you have the APTickets for 6.1.2 if so have SnowBreeze IReb make a SIGNED IPSW there is no need for 6.1.3 unless you just wanted to save APTickets for 6.1.3 which you can only have a Tethered J/B ,,I helped a friend that had the same issue First I tried all the new and Old programs to kick it out of DFU,when this didnt work I bought a power button from ebay, installed it,I think that taking the phone apart (BATTERY) is what got it out of the black screen so it's pretty simply to disconnect battery 2 screws at the bottom where speakers are and slide the back up toward the power button, then 1 screw where the battery connecter is CAUTION there is a small metal tab underneath the connector dont lose it(watch youtube videos on HOW TO REMOVE BATTERY) iFixit has some good video's,take battery connector loose and let it sit for a while a day maybe then reinstall the battery,it might help, this step should only be used if you don't get it to boot,I don't think battery will charge in DFU mode?Try SnowBreeze iReb to see it will kick it out and run it a few times,I would google this and see if someone else has had it come back to life.Your going to need to replace the power button if you can't do it yourself maybe look around Craigslist or cellphone shop.
If you do get it to boot I'd stay on 6.1.2 I have had problems using RedSnow file to put it in DFU mode and having it boot,The sim card which one is it.maybe try removing it and kick it out of dfu or black screen,If you get it to boot use SnowBreeze to make a signed ipsw and then write it with iTunes.Search Youtube for this issue see if you can find some help,
