n00b please help.
Hi all,
Ok long story short I cant seem to get any firmware on my iphone 3G S 16g (3.0.1). I had it jail-broken last night tried to install some theme this morning the phone restarted and would not boot (showed apple logo then turned off) battery was at 70% when this happened.
I am now getting error after trying to get 3.0 jailbreak via Redsn0w back on but I am getting an error in the white code.
**Checking catalog file.
Invalid node structure
(4, 20)
** Volume check failed.
Mounting rootfs as read-write...
Mounting devfs...
Mounting disk0s2s1...
ERROR!
please help me if possible and don't tell me I am the only person on this planet to brick the dam thing.
The only option I can see is having 3.1 FW and I dont want that.
I have downloaded a factory 3.0 restore but iTunes wont verify it so i am kinda stuck.
any help would be great.
thanks,
Cam

Put the iPhone into DFU and then do the all process.

Hi guys,
I have the exact same problem and I don't really know what cofi means by
Put the iPhone into DFU and then do the all process.
Updating to 3.1 would be nonsense and DFU mode doesn't work with redsn0w. The "next"-button of redsn0w keeps greyed out when I connect it in DFU mode. Only recovery-mode let me click on next (and that's what it says anyway in the redsn0w text). But that obviously results in the error described by slyden.
I'm stuck
@Cofi
Could you please clarify what you mean?
I'm on "cold iTurkey" for 4 days now...
Thanks a lot!
