iPhone not recognized in Windows after DFU mode
Ok, here's the deal. I'm running Windows 7 and redsn0w 0.8. I thought maybe there was a problem with the OS and redsn0w but have now come to realize it is just my phone. I have unlocked a 1st gen iphone and 2 3G models on the same computer, but when I plug my phone in and follow redsn0w's DFU mode steps instead of the phone coming back up after the "Waiting for iPhone to restart" as an Apple Mobile Device, Windows discovers my phone in DFU mode as Unidentified Device and says the device has malfunctioned and windows had to stop it. This is my only theory as to why my iPhone won't get passed the Waiting for restart message. I have tried all the "tricks." unplugging the USB cable for 3 seconds, Safe Mode, made sure I selected the right firmware for 3G. It seems odd that my computer will work on 3 other iphones but not mine.

Nope. Tried that version of redsn0w when it was new. I doubt that the version of redsn0w has anything to do with Windows finding my DFU'd iPhone as an Unknown Device. Especially since it worked with 3 other iPhones.
